You just need to search around and find a local fire academy. Im not sure what the break down is but in texas ours was a 6 month academy, it covered all your basics and hazmat awareness and ops. Upon completion of that we had another 3 months of ARFF and hazmat tech. I would think that the requirements nationwide for the 2 should be fairly close to the same.
