Beat me to the punch, just need to add some color like this. Presentation is the key.

Congrats to all of the winners this week.

    Onebugle,

You are the master and I am just the young Padawan learner.

How did you estimate the rounds remaining? I took the total grant money remaining and divided it by the average awards per round. It looks like vehicle money will run out before Operations money. We are still waiting for any news on an operations grant so I am glad to see $89 million left.

Thanks for all your work on making these statistics available. I watch for your summaries religously every week to gauge my level of optimism for our grant success.

    Default 1266

If that number includes all the departments that have received the 1199 and Q's then there probably isn't much chance left for those of us who haven't heard either way, correct???

Estimated Rounds Remaining=Total Estimated Awards Remaining (OPS+VEH)/Average Awards Per Round

    (1267+19)/170=7.564 (8)

I will round up or down based on the figure.

Out of those 1266 potential awards remaining, less than half have 1199s. Hence the holdup with the rest and the final DJs. Meaning about 1000-1500 are in limbo for the final 500-600 1199As.

Does anyone want to venture a guess when those remaining 500-600 1199As will be made public?

Brian: Don't you still believe that there are several large Regional requests that could still skew those numbers?

Could be. I've got a few over $1m in limbo still myself. But seems like most of the rest are in the $50k range so that might keep the number up. I'm guessing high on that many 1199As out there, I've only got 12 pending, down from about 50 from earlier this month. And that's with adding 14 1199As this month, so could be less than 500 in limbo. Who knows, we'll see it when we see it I guess. Starting to get knee deep in 2008 apps, so unless someone else finds a new one and posts I limit checking to 10 minutes. Only so many hours in the day during this season.

Just an FYI but saw the congressional list today for my state and it looks likehte large regional grants are coming out on Friday for many.

Thanks Kurt. I think that will help us get a better idea how much money is really left of the OPS side of the equation. I have not heard anything new on 1199As for OPS grants in a few weeks. I know there are a bunch of people still waiting. When I look at $89,000,000 still in play it is hard for me to figure out what the delay is. Having a big chunk of that money is awarded this Friday will make things more clear.

I am still waiting and hoping but my attention is firmly fixed on 2008 now.
