Also Firehouse with the guy from Shaft. Its kind of in the same time frame as towering inferno.

I think the best documentary, is Brotherhood - Life in the Fdny or something like that. I rented it from netflix, and I am refusing to return it, because it is that good.

I love the shield the helmet in your avatar. Who made it?

I think you all are forgetting the BEST firefighting movie EVER ( note the dripping sarcasm)

Ablaze!! with such great actors as Ice-T and Tom Arnold!!

my wife went to blockbuster for their 4 vids for $20 one night and came home with this "movie" and I just kept saying to myself " it can't get worse than this!!" and Ablaze proved me wrong time and time again!!

it's been passed to pretty much all the fire stations and it's almost become a cult classic!

I found it for $2.50 at the local pawn shop.... That movie gave me fits!!!!

No wonder the whole city burned with that stellar display of firefighting skills!

I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit while watching the trailer. Water wagons??? Jenna Jamesons's movie was more realistic

How about "Fire:trapped on the 37th floor"? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0101881/
It has Lee Majors as a deputy chief with L.A. City at the First International Bank fire. This movie is based on a true story. If I recall, there was some good scenes showing how to work in a high rise fire, for those of us that don't have any thing taller than 5 stoires.

Frequency had some good fire scenes in it.

Gangs of New York gave a little history lesson there too.
