In my fire house we watched the webcast of 10 doís and doníts of search and rescue. We got in to a discussion in my house as to keep in physical contact or voice contact is sufficient if conditions permit. In the Essentials on page 150-151 it gives a good guideline to follow, and in the Fundamentals of Fire Fighter Skills on pages 383 -384. In both texts it just states to be in contact. So I am appealing to the masses, which is right. Is physical the way to go or can you use voice contact if conditions permit, or are both right or is there one the absolute. Can someone give me a straight answer.
