Default Fun Way of doing Hurricane Katrina Clean up

Hurricane Katrina Clean up still going on

A quick video of an apartment fire our department had last week. It was a very large apartment complex right off the beach that was gutted by Hurricane Katrina. It was very cold and raining with about 30 mph winds.

Looked like all 2 1/2 to me. I know we don't carry any bigger other than LDH.

    Default Don't see it all

I only used a few little clips. We had 3 Ladders and several 2 1/2" flowing around the complex. It was totaled since Katrina....I bond fire waiting to happen since Katrina.

Glad to see Gulfport. I am in Vicksburg, about 200 miles north and the Mississippi coast is my second home. My dad was on Ocean Springs FD. Plus I got to meet a few guys from Gulfport and Biloxi, and got to meet Chief Sullivan.

How is the reconstruction with the FD going. Last time I was down I think it was your station 9 I saw that still had heavy damage. Plus I hear why there are so many damaged buildings still is because of insurance wars.

Keep it up down there. GFD is actually one of the departments I am thinking about applying to.

Nothing has changed. 4 of our stations are still in FEMA trailers and most of the rest still have had very minor Work done. Thanks for checking.

    I love the Vicksburg area!
