    Default Airbag containment devices

What's the thought on airbag containment devices? In reading past posts I see that the general thought is that they are not a good idea. Has anything changed? A local dept. recently got one and the guys on my dept. are thinking that maybe we should have one.

I don"t believe that these devices are a good tool to use. They will give you a false sence of security. They could be put on in a hasty fashion and not attached properly. As long as you remember to keep yourself and your patient from the deployment zones 5, 10, 20 inches these devices are not needed.

Simply asking....would the 'typical' containment device serve to contain all the SRS units that may deploy? Don't think so....'nuff said...save your $$.

you'll be setting yourself up with a false sense of safety. That only "blocks" one air bag. what about the curtain, dash, side impact airbags. Save your money for training and remember the inches away: 5",side 10" -15"driver , 20" passenger oh and don't forget about the smart seat airbag.
Spend money on training= stay smart, stay safe

Putting things over the airbag is just begging for a projectile.

    Has anything changed?
    Nope. Still a bad idea.
