We are starting a rit. Are there any standards governing what must go into a rit bag? Sorry to beat this horse, but we have no training yet because we don't have the gear to train with.

There aren't any RIT standards to speak of, other than to have one. Rapid access to basic firefighting tools are what you need for starters, and a way to get air to a downed firefighter. Other than that, it's really the trainning that matters.

We are going to be having a RIT/ Save Your Own class in the next couple of months. In the past we have used different set ups. What works for us might not work for you. The class will be in the Franklin area. Send me your info and I will see if we might be able to get a couple in to the class if your interested.
