Default SC Apparatus MVA injured FF

Colleton County Fire Rescue E601 was totalled today. The FF/driver was initially extricated in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

Here is a link to the photos from the scene. All I have to say is... wow!

    He WAS wearing his seatbelt!

After looking at those pictures, I would say its a good thing he was wearing his seatbelt!

Glad to see he is in stable condition, and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Get well soon, my Carolina brother.
Just know, I chose my own fate. I drove by the fork in the road and went straight.

Mike has certainly come through this one better than initially reported! I had no less than 10 phone calls... and this was BEFORE he had been extricated from E601. The initial info was pretty frightening, but now things seem to be quite a bit better. Please keep Mike in your prayers - we were just talking yesterday morning about his upcoming wedding. This young man was due to finish out Feb on CCFR/Medic27 with me. He is a character and a fun one to have around the firehouse. Speedy recovery brother!

    Thumbs up

Wow. Looks like the brother took a heckuva ride. Glad to hear he is doing better... and, of course, warm wishes for as speedy of a recovery as possible.
