Firecareers.com
Jay,
I received an e-mail this morning from firecareers.com regarding your post and my response to the Coeur d'Alene FD thread. They removed it completely! This job was NOT even posted on their job posting portion of their website and they completely removed it. I guess they belive over at firecareers that they have "Exclusive Rights" to every fire department job listing on the planet. I'm getting more and more tired of their censorship and tactics there.__________________

Correct
Yes...I received an e-mail from Fire Careers . com and thats exactly what that told me. I replied that we .....the Northwest is usually forgot about when the listings go out. I hope all who are interested sign up by the 15th of March.
Good Luck,
JayRespectfully,

I believe a certain SassyEMT was from that area.....
any idea what their requirements are? EMT/Paramedic, Firefighter I/II, hazmat tech, etc...If my basic HazMat training has taught me nothing else, it's that if you see a glowing green monkey running away from something, follow that monkey!

Is it common to charge an application fee, because I've never heard of such a thing? I personally thought it was pretty lame when I saw that Coeur d'Alene was charging a $10 to submit an application.

Kidding right??
Your kidding right...$10.00 fee and your complaining. Coeur d'Alene Fire is a very good fire department. Smaller than I came from but great department. Up here in the Northwest budgets are not like what larger cities have and testing can be costly. We need to help defray some of the costs. If you do not want to pay the $10.00 then don't. I'm sure those who want the job badly enough won't even blink an eye when they plunk down their money. I'm with BAMM on this......you need to get out more.
My hats off to Chief Gabriel and his fine Department.Respectfully,
