Default A different Helmet Thread (No Really !!)

Everyone seems to always be in a tizzy about what type / brand / material / style helmet to wear, what flashlight(s) to bolt / strap on it, and so forth - so here's my "Just for S & G's" type question.

How much did your lid cost as it's configured (or as you want it configured) right now - if it's dept. issue then give an approx "street value" price (Bottom line is if you lost your helmet today - how much would it cost to replace)?

As an added bonus, please indicate how much of this total cost is out of your own pocket.

    Current Lid - Bullard USRX ~ $124.00

    Plan to add the following:
    Custom Shied from D. E. Williams ~ $60.00
    Shield Holder $9.00
    Black Jack flashlight holder ~$20.00
    Pelican Stealthlite 2400 (already have) - $25.00

Replacment cost - $238 (plus s/h on various items)

My out of pocket cost ~$110 (as stated I already had the light and I got a heckuva deal on the helmet itself)

Paid out of pocket $549 for a new Cairns N6A. It has the carved eagle on the front with bourkes. NO stickers, lights, door wedges, nails, golf tees, hose straps, video cameras, goggles, face shield, etc.

have you tried that flashlight on your helmet yet? Oh man, when I first started doing interior work, I tried to like it. It lasted for about 2 fires. I just recently thought, "hey what the heck, lets try it again". Yeah... I pulled it in about 10 minutes during training. It's too heavy. The weight isn't the biggest issue, it's all the weight on the one side. It's miserable.

I used to have it on a 1010 with one of those "sticks way the heck out" clamp on mounts and didn't really notice it was there - but the 1010 is a brick in it's own right too.

I figured that between the lower profile of the USRX and the low slung mounting of the blackjack that it wouldn't be that bad on this one either.

I do have to add that to make that work I'll also need the ESS Interzone (1 or 2) replacment mounting blocks that the USRX goggles are *supposed* to be mounted to so I can get rid of that goofy "Blade mounting system" bracket. That'll run me about another $15-$20 out of pocket.
