A long story short, our paid on call department is joining the IAFF, we have a separate ambulance and fire company in our city(both city administrated), i'm not sure why the union was joined in the first place, but i'm wondering what the union limitations are with a POC dept. if any, and what it can possibly do for me. I know hardly anything about the IAFF in the first place and one thing i would want to know is if the ambulance dept. will have a separate union from the fire dept.? (however some people are on both dept's) Is there anyone who can tell me everything I need to know? send me a message or post. Does the IAFF usually sponsor a POC dept.?
