Default 20 stations in CA to close?

Anyone hear about this proposal? I guess it would be 20 Cal Fire stations to save about $52 million. I guess seeing thousands of homes burn to the ground will never be enough of a wake up call. I did read something about tax payers paying around $10 a year to keep them open.

    Any thoughts?
