What exactly do they do? What rank do they have.

I can't find much info on those with their suv and the big white number on the back side of the window

I need a more detailed information

How exactly did they get their rank

And when i saw them passing by...Plenty of times, Wish i had a camera

There weren't any fires or anything.

I just want to know exactly how many hours they work>? and where do they reside at? A firehouse? or they stay in the suv

or is it the same 2 guys or 4 guys taking turns.

They drive around Brooklyn, Bensonhurst in a Red SUV with big white numbers on the backside of the window with their sirens going loud as Hell.
They are both Generals of the Fire Service, and talk on the radio, and drive around with loud as Hell sirens.

    Can you explain

What a general of the fire service means?

And do they work a certain hour?

    or it;'s a 24/7 shift

Do they live in a firehouse?

Management is making sure things are done right. Leadership is doing the right thing. The fire service needs alot more leaders and a lot less managers.

"Everyone goes home" is the mantra for the pussification of the modern, American fire service.

Comments made are my own. They do not represent the official position or opinion of the Fire Department or the City for which I am employed. In fact, they are normally exactly the opposite.

Newbie at what? The forums...Fire Service.....Please explain. I hope you are not new to the fire service and recently got out of the academy. If this is the case, we are all in a world of you know what.

    Answered your own question.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

Hmm...im still trying to figure out what in the world ball batting is. I mean I heard of someone getting batted out but ball batting is just not something I have ever heard in NYC.

First, you get a ball bat (you know, a baseball bat) then you repeatedly hit them with it. Used in a sentance -"Hey, lets go out and ball bat that m@th#& F#@&#r". Maybe it's a local thing...

I think it's a local thing too, ya know this has been a first for me hearing someone call a baseball bat a ball bat you must not be from the states to refer to a baseball bat a ball bat but then again you guys eat your pizza with a fork and knife so you must not be from America .

But on a side note I do know what you are talking about and I have heard from hearing stories from friends about people who have been "batted out"

The guy in the passenger seat is a chief. He is a supervisor at fire scenes and responsible for the day to day operations of a couple of fire stations.

The guy driving is his assistant. Depending on your point-of-view a guy dedicated to the success of his boss and the fire department or a coffee fetching POS.

Local if you live near Comiskey park, (I don't care what they renamed it)
We were to busy eating PIEROGIS on the edge of Norwood Park (W. Ardmore and Austin) to worry about bashing other kid's heads in.
