I want to refer to an incident that happened the weekend of 01Mar08 reported Garage fire 400 blk 11th street in Reading,PA. As its been stated time and time again no blue lights in the city well that didnt stop this individual speeding down the 300 blk of 11th with his blue light on and coming within inches of hitting a Reading Firefighter. Its people like that which give people that follow the guidelines and laws a bad name. Two years ago the call went out for the Friendlys fire in Spring Twp Berks County there he went again speeding in the Cty of Reading with blue light on comming within inches of striking a slower car. But still has a blue light whats wrong with this picture?

Seems like you spend an awful lot of time watching this guy respond...

Does not compute.
Honestly, I can't understand this other than someone with a blue light speeding in the city.

Reading actually has a few volunteers. I belive like 5-6 if that. The minimum requirements to ride are typical of career staff: FF1, haz-ops, engine/truck co etc... A guy from my Vol. station runs there since he goes to college nearby.
A Fire Chief has ONLY 1 JOB and that's to take care of his fireman. EVERYTHING else falls under this.

Ok...........
JT, Thanks. At least now we know something about the place. More than the O.P. provided anyway. But I agree with the others here who ask, "Why post on here about a problem in your own backyard? Go to the Chief of his (the person with the Blue Light) Department with your Complaint. If everyone with a complaint posted here, nothing would ever get fixed.
And, No: I don't have a Blue Light.Never use Force! Get a Bigger Hammer.
