    Default Gloves

What do you all like, hate, want to change about the gloves we wear to do our job.
If you could design the perfect glove what would it have or be?

    Stay safe,

Gloves are like condoms. You wear them for the protection.

    I hate both of them!!

    Dexterity. More of it.

The opinions in the above post do not reflect those of my department... Hell they don't even necessarily reflect my own opinion.

I would want something similar to the flying gloves I get issued at work. Easy to work with in any situation and not too bulky. Nothing I hate more than having sausage fingers with gloves on.
If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

    The condom or the protection?

NFPA makes your gloves what they are today: Too bulky, clumsy fingers, etc. Shelby makes a mean wildland rescue glove that really does the trick and maintains good dexterity, but you can't very well bring 'em into a structure fire, now can you?

Anyway, I joined up because of this thread - I'm a fire equipment salesperson. I'm not here to scam and hound you guys, so don't worry. I've been in the industry for a while, though, and if anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to answer them as candidly as I can.

If my Chibas came with a shorter cuff, and could cook, I would marry them.

Hands down the best glove that I have ever worn is The Superglove by American Fire wear.
