    Default wildland ppe and equipment

Because we have a wildland interface hazard, we are putting together a grant for equipment and PPE. When I was on the screen that requests PPE, there was a line item for jumpsuits. Will the grant allow me to buy a wildland shirts and pants rather than jumpsuits? Also are chainsaws allowed? I was thinking of asking for the chainsaw that can also cut roofs to have a dual use tool. I put in for the RFA grant from the Dept of Interior and was turned down. Any sugestions/help will be appreciated.
    thanks

I don;t htink the shirt would be considered wildland PPE; coat and pant ensemble has been approved routinely for years so it does not have to be a jumpsuit per se. Chainsaw should be fine also.

Kurt thanks for the info another question - on the screen would I just enter under Select Equipment --- Wildland--- Jumpsuits/coveralls subcategory with an explanation of the coat and pant ensemble or should I use the ---Other PPE--- category? Also what doesn't look correct on the screen is under the ---Wildland--- category is a subcategory for Other CBRNE Related PPE

Nomex Wildland Shirts are fine.... we received a grant for 150 of them a couple of years back, along with pants, boots, gloves, helmets.
