Let's Get This Place Back on Track.......
Just because it's called a throw bag, doesn't mean you throw the whole bag... you're supposed to hold onto the rope.

Darn shame. 6 views. No replies.
Jake, I guess no one wants civil-ness any more. They're too worried about Kool-aid, Kentland, and bashing other people's-department's mistakes by watching videos on YouTube.Firefighter/EMT

Is this just wishful thinking?
On another note, I believe that our "Explorers" are thinking about getting a charter(after many years without one). What do you guys think? Actually getting "back" into an "Explorer Post" or changing their name to "Junior Firefighters"?Just someone trying to help! (And by the way....Thanks for YOUR help!)
Aggressive does not have to equal stupid.

I'm working on setting up a "Project Graduation" assembly in front of the school involving a staged fatal crash to show the students the dangers of drunk driving.
Other than that.....nothing.

Its been quiet around my post too. We are down to 2 cadets. Myself and another kid my age. One graduated and the other 2 are being placed as "Inactive" due to behavior, grades, etc.
Which means me and the other one get some better gear. But, it would be nice if they were able to pull it around.
I'm going to IFSI (Illinois Fire Service Institute) at the end of June for there Cadet fire school. And maybe May for Fire College. So I'm looking forward to that.
Other than that not much is going on by my post. Me and the other cadet may take classes through the local community college over the summer.
If anyone has some recruiting ideas please PM me.CADET WFPD

Our Post just got a fairly large grant, which is pretty cool. Our Dept. is now really on board with the program and we are reworking stuff and incorporating the explorers into a lot more activities and other things with the Dept. We are even looking running things a lot more like them, IE uniform allowances and that type of stuff.
Oh yeah, I'm also working on Mock Disaster.Kyle

SFA. Hopefully most of you know what that means.
If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

I took up time with the new juniors (as well as two new senior recruits) last night and let them each get some nozzle time while explaining fire attack dynamics to them. They seemed to really enjoy it, and I'm excited about seeing these guys come up through the ranks.

My solutions:
Let Jrs ride on trucks (with out seatbelts, but stop at green lights)
Let Jrs put on packs and make a push
Let Jrs put sirens/lights in there cars
Give jrs Badges and handcuffs
Let Jrs put on class A Hazmat suits
Issue Jrs department vehicles
Buy all new gear For every Jr
Remove all hose besides LDH and only use deck guns or master streams with fog nozzles (and mount pistol grips on the deck guns) (and only let Jrs man them)
Let Jrs drive rigs
And I think thats about it!
