Alright, can anyone point me in the correct direction? I'm currently a 240FF in the state of Ohio and am looking for a way to get that certification changed to an IFSAC or DoD for overseas purposes. I've e-mailed / called the state fire marshall's office a few times in the past 2months with no response, and it's getting to become a more serious option now and I need to get on top of it. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately Ohio is not an accredited program. We looked into moving a few years back and I was basically told that I would have to go through training again. If you find out a way to get this, pass on the information. I know a few guys that would be interested. Good luck.

ohio 240
Jbrescue
There is paper work out there so you can get IFSAC for the ohio 240 card. But it all depands on when the course was taken. There is a cut off date and of hand I cant think of it. It is something like beofre the date all you nned to do is send in copies of your cards to transfer over to IFSAC after the date you must do the hands on part of IFsac testing. They dont change over all cert, I had my 240, and haz-mat ops changed to IFSAC. And I think the form can be found on the fire acdamy web sit. Hopes this helps .

Is this the form you are talking about? http://www.com.state.oh.us/SFM/pub/f...father_app.pdf
It looks like it is for those transferring into Ohio though.Jason Brooks

JB is correct, it's for people moving into the state, also only certification prior to 2002 is eligible, I just received mine last year.
I was told by someone around us that the fire academy offers a 6 unit course that if you take will transfer your Ohio 240 to an IFSAC.
I sent the state another e-mail a few day's back, hopefully I hear something sometime this coming week.

Update for everyone: State fire marshall got back in touch with me, they offer a time you can come down to Columbus and test into an IFSAC certification.
http://com.state.oh.us/sfm/fire_pub.aspx
The above link contains the State's IFSAC skill sheets which you will selectively be tested on (they can test you on 6 of them) and then theres a short written test. You take this all with their current graduating fire class and the cost is about $100.
Upon completion and passing, you can receive your IFSAC cert that same day.
Hope this helps people, I most likely will be taking mine there April 22nd
Does anyone know if other states honor IFSAC certs?

Go here:
http://www.ifsac.org/
Click on box on left side: Accredited agencies and levels.
IFSAC and NPQ have reciprocity, so look for those too.
