Ford f550 brush truck engine weight

Ok, I have search almost everwhere and I can not find the weight
of the 2 engines in an F550.
I know the desiel weighs more than the gasser, but I just can find how much more.

Any ideas?

There are two engines available, according to Ford Truck SourceBook. The 6.8L V-10 ( gas) and the 6.4L Power Stroke Diesel (which is also a V-8)
The 6.4 Diesel weights 950 lbs more than the V-10. Hope this helped you out.

Do you know if that is just engine weigth or does that include the emmissions and other items for the desiel?

that is total weight. however, larger diesel fuel tank option may make a difference there .

I think I have what you need. It lists base curb weight by axle and total depending on style of cab, engine, trans and cab to axle length.

We put the V-10 gas engine in this utility. Runs great on and off the road. Also quiet in the cab and starts everytime in frigid weather outside. Couldn't justifiy the cost of the diesel for the service life we expect of this unit.
