    Default Strang Question, Siren Question

    Ok, This is going to sounds strange but ive been lookking a very long time for it, it probably does not exist but who knows...

    Im looking for the siren from Ecto-1 , The Ambulance in the movie "Ghostbusters"

    If anyone has ANY information please post it here !!

    Cool Gostbuster Siren

    You are probably too young to remember this brand of siren. It is made in Los Angeles by the B&M siren company (google it). Unlike the "Q" this siren has a real deep, but incredibly effective, sound. The Super Chief is equally, if not more, effective than the "Q". Believe me, traffic will move for you with this siren.

    Can't remember where for sure, but I saw this come up once in another forum. I believe in the forum some one said it was actually an electronic siren made by motorola.
    It takes a little intelligence to enjoy humor,satire & wit, but none to be offended by it.

    Go over and check at elightbars.org, there are about 1000 threads over there about the Ghostbusters siren.

    elightbars is worth checking out... a lot of good useful information but at the same time... uh... wow. That's about all I can say about that.

    Gues the information i was given was wrong. After doing a little more reading of my own, apparently that sirens sound was produced in a sound studio. Now if one of the siren MFGs would duplicate the sound, I'd be willing to be they sell like hot cakes.
