Lyndon Fire & Rescue, recognized for its excellence in service to the community, is searching for a visionary and innovative leader to continue the superior guidance related to the organizational activities of the Lyndon Fire Protection District. While all interested candidates are encouraged to apply, the ideal candidate will have an advanced degree, extensive command experience, and at least five years of experience in executive administration or senior level fire experience. In addition, the Fire Chief must have collaborative management style embracing open communication throughout the organization, as well as strong analytical, financial management, marketing, public relations, human relations and organizational skills.
Department and Community Profiles:
The Lyndon Fire Protection District (LFPD) is a combination fire department consisting of fifty (50) members, located in the suburban area of Metro Louisville, Kentucky. Our service area is predominately residential with a mix of commercial and light manufacturing. The department provides twenty four hour emergency response service to approximately 40,000 residents, with an annual operating budget of three million dollars. In addition, LFPD also participates in a medical first response program with Metro Louisville EMS and provides and receives automatic mutual aid to and from four surrounding fire departments.
A highly competitive salary and benefit package is available. The beginning salary is negotiable depending on qualifications.
