Freeport Area Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 2400 people living in an area of 36 square miles. Freeport Area VFD covers portions of Carlton and Irving Townships in Barry County, Campbell Township in Ionia County and Bowne Township in Kent County. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
