Wabash Township Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 12000 people living in an area of 56 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a legal entity of Wabash Township whose members are on a volunteer status. The Wabash Township Volunteer Fire Department is all volunteer with one part-time paid firefighter and a paid Fire Chief. We serve all of Wabash Township and a part of Shelby Township, except those areas served by the Purdue University fire department and the City of West Lafayette fire department. Our protection area covers approximately 56 square miles of rural Wabash Township in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, USA. Our department staffs approximately 40 people at all times. Our department members are residents and students from the community. They are individuals who take their job very seriously and do it because they enjoy doing it and providing the service to you.
