Calumet Village Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 800 people living in an area of .5 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The Calumet Fire Department is a company with strong and historic fire fighting traditions. In the 1800s it was named the Eureka Fire Company, later named the Red Jacket Fire Department and finally the Calumet Fire Department. The coverage area is the Calumet National Historic Park.
