Updated: Wednesday, May 14, 2003 - 07:34:51 PM
CITY OF PARIS EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE proudly protects 44000 people living in an area of 920 square miles. We operate out of TWO stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status.
Paris EMS operates two twenty-four hour MICUs for emergency calls and one nine hour ALS non-emergency unit at all times. The personnel operating these emergency units work twenty-four hours on duty and then they are off duty for the following forty-eight hours. The non-emergency unit is operated by personnel between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday.
