Emmaus Fire Department

EMMAUS FIRE DEPARTMENT proudly protects 12000 people living in an area of 6 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid on call status. The Emmaus Fire Department merged from from three stations to one. Presently we have 10 vehicles. Our average call response is 325/350 calls per year. We provide fire prevention to three elementary schools with an enrollment of over 1500 children. Since 1992 we have conducted Swede Flashover Survival training classes. Since 1988 we are Test Site #7 for the state of Pennsylvania for Fire Fighter Certification Testing Recently placed in service a tactical foam system that expands foam concentrate 28 to 1 Has retained the Gamewell Fire Alarm system which provides automatic signal upon activiation of smoke detectors from our high rise buildings for the elderly.
