Metter Fire-Rescue Department proudly protects 13000 people living in an area of 225 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status. We strive to offer the highest level of professionalism to those requiring our service. Members of the department have various levels of training including, but not limited to, NPQ FF1 & 2, Hazmat Technician, Fire Inpector, Arson Investigation, Pressurized water systems, Hydraulics, EMT-Intermediate, Rescue Specialist, Incident Command and NIMS, Confined Space, Etc.
