The Rockland Fire-Rescue Department proudly protects 16,000 people living in an area of 10 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status.
The Rockland Fire-Rescue Department has 28 full-time firefighters,One Deputy Chief working days and the Chief ,1 Executive Assistant and 3 on-call firefighters. We run seven man shifts on a 24 hour schedule. We protect a combination of residential and industrial area. In May of 2000 the Rockland Fire-Rescue Department began running Paramedic level ambulance service to its community. This is acommplished by highly trained,dual-roll,cross trained Firefighter/Paramedics. The Rockland Fire-Rescue Department is commited to providing the BEST fire suppresion and emergency medical services to its community.
