Enfield Fire District No.1 proudly serves and protects approximately 20000 people living in an area of 12 square miles. We operate out of two stations with eight apparatus and protect a suburban community rich with neatly kept homes and an abundance of commercial enterprise. The department is a public entity, having paid and volunteer members, trained to national standards for fire fighting, rescue, EMS, Hazardous Materials incident response and special operations (technical rescue). Our rescue capabilities include; trench and confined space, building collapse, MVA extrication, heavy rescue capabilities, shore based water rescue, hovercraft based swift water rescue,cold/ice water rescue and rope rescue.
