Perrysburg Township Fire and EMS proudly protects the 13,613 people living in an area of 40 square miles, along with the daily motoring public on I-75, I-475, I-80/90, and US 20/23. Operating under the Wood County mutual aid pact, we help to protect the 121,065 citizens of Wood county. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a combination of residental, agricultural, and manufacturing area. Our department is a combination of paid and volunteer status.

Our department consists of 43 members, 18 of which are full-time. These full-time members work in either four or five-man, 24/48 shifts. Our other members are paid volunteers with a variety of specialities. We also maintain two Life Squads which are manned around the clock. Additionally, we have a Confined Space and Hazmat Response Team, a Marine Unit, and a Mass Casualty Unit.

The full-time members are represented by Local 4170 of the International Association of Fire Fighters.
