Welcome to Lawrencetown on Nova Scotia's beautiful Eastern Shore. Lawrencetown Beach Volunteer Fire and Emergency Services is a medium sized composite fire department serving about 5,000 residents in an area of approximately 150 square kilometers of land and water in the Halifax Regional Municipality. We are a rural department, bordering on an urban centre of the province's capital. We provide a high quality emergency service in fire suppression, medical first response, entrapment rescue, water rescue and much more. Since 1965 the citizens of Lawrencetown and its surrounding communities have volunteered their time and talents to help their neighbors when misfortune befalls them. Since its beginning the department has strived to improve its service through training and improving equipment to achieve what we have today. We invite you to explore this site so you can get to know who we are and the kind of service we strive to provide anyone who calls us.
