Casselton Ambulance proudly protects 20000 people living in an area of Aprox. 736 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The Casselton Ambulance is comprised of 23 highly dedicated Volunteers. Most members are trained to the EMT-D Level with state certification in I.V. maintenance, and Epi-Autoinjector. We are also trained in cardiac monitoring. We currently use Lifepak 300's for monitoring and de fib. We normally have three EMT's on call. Shifts are for 12 hours, and run from 6AM to 6PM. Our service is part of an excellent EMS network comprising of Volunteer First Responders spread throughout the county, 4 Basic Life Support Ambulance Services, 2 Advanced Life Support Ambulance Services, 2 Life flight helicopters, and 2 trauma centers in Fargo. Members of the Cass County Rural EMS Association are trained by Randco. I must also acknowledge our area fire departments, especially Casselton Fire Rescue for the heavy rescue, automobile, and farm extrication that they provide for us. Training and meetings are held the third Monday of each month starting at 7 PM.
