West Valley Volunteer Fire Department

We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

Our department was started in 1992, when five members of our community went together to sign a loan to get us started. With land donated to us by an area business in the community, we broke ground, built a building, elected board members, and signed up a few firemen. In 1993, Confederate Railroad held a benefit concert, helping us to raise funds for our loan, and to purchase new equipment. Since then we have added a community room, furnished the fire hall with a pumper, tanker, and a brush truck. We are also fully equiped with protective gear, hoses, indian packs, air tanks, & air cylinders. We have also been adopted by Lower Providence, PA Fire Department, the department that we have purchased our pumper from.
