Edinburg Rural Fire Department proudly protects 1700 people living in an area of 30 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
We are a rural fire dept. with 15 members. we have 3 State Certified E.M.T.basic 1 state certified E.M.T.intermediate 8 E.M.R. personel,2 state certified firefighters with the remainder of the personel certified in vol. firefighter. Trucks consist of 1 1998 class A E-ONE Pumper 1250GPM Rating, 1 1986 Ford rescue van,1 1973 Ford F-800 1300 Gal. tanker Truck, 1 1983 Dodge D-2oo Quick response Truck. We also are the only Volunteer Department in the county that have the Jaws of Life.
