Meeker Volunteer Fire and Rescue

Meeker Volunteer Fire & Rescue proudly protects 2700 people living in an area of 2500 square miles. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

The Meeker Vol. Fire and Rescue department is under authority of the Rio Blanco Fire Protection District. The Meeker Fire Department was established in 1933 and the new name Meeker Vol. Fire and Rescue was selected in March of 1997 with the merger of the Meeker Vol. Fire Department and the Meeker Ambulance Service.
