Owego Fire Department proudly protects 26000 people living in an area of 63 square miles. We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
Located about 30 miles west of Binghamton in New York's Southern Tier, the Owego Fire Department provides fire, rescue, and EMS services to a large residential, industrial, and village district. Organized in 1862, the Owego Fire Department remains an all-volunteer organization made up of five companies: Susquehanna Engine Co. #1, Wave Hose Co. #2, Croton Hose Co.#3, Hiawatha Engine Co.#4, and Ahwaga Ladder Co.#5.
