Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company

<?xml:namespace prefix = dme />Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company proudly protects 10,000 perminant and over 50'000+ seasonal guests living in an area of 11 square miles. We operate out of 2 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

The BBVFC provides Fire-Rescue-EMS services to the towns of Bethany Beach, South Bethany, Fenwick Island and the unincorporated areas of Middlesex Beach, North Bethany, the Delaware Seashore State Park and the Fenwick Island State Park. The BBVFC district runs from the Indian River Inlet south to the Maryland state line at Ocean City. The BBVFC operates under mutual aid agreements with several surrounding departments including Millville VFC, Roxana VFC, Indian River VFC, Rehoboth Beach VFC and Ocean City, MD, VFC. The BBVFC has both volunteers and a staff of paid EMT/Firefighters that handle our primary ambulance calls. All members are trained at the Delaware fire school and other fire/EMS training faculities through out the region.
