An advanced life support first responder agency is a unique agency where paramedics are transported to the scene of a medical emergency in fire trucks. Patient care is initiated by the fire medic and then the patient is transferred to an advanced life support ambulance contractor for transport to an emergency facility for evaluation and treatment.
