New Haven-Berger Fire Protection District proudly protects 6800 people living in an area of 134 square miles. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The New Haven-Berger Fire Protection District was formed on April 7, 1998. The combination of the New Haven Volunteer Fire Department (originaly formed in 1934) and the Berger Community Volunteer Fire Department (originaly formed in 1953) make up the newly formed district. We have 67 active members and a 5 member governing board.
