Fenton City Fire Department

City of Fenton Fire Department proudly protects 15000 people living in an area of 50 square miles. We operate out of one stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a combination of paid and volunteer status.

We are a combination department that was established in 1875. We have been in continuous service ever since. We have pictures of the, then new, fire station that was built in 1875. We have a very active fire prevention program within the schools and at the station. We bring fire prevention information to about 2000 children and adults a year. We encourage you to stop by the fire station and visit with the firefighters, see the equipment and learn more about fire safety. We have a Fire Explorer scout program within the Department. They are very active in the department and we are proud to have them with us. Post 191 is the longest active post in Genesee County and one of the longest in the state. They are currently in their 25th chartered year. It is an excelent program and if you are between the ages of 14 & 20 and are interested in joining the post call or stop by the fire station.
