Rolfe Community Fire Department

It is the goal of the Rolfe Community Fire Department's to strive unceasingly to find better ways of protecting the lives, homes, & property of its fellow citizens from the ravages of fire & other disasters.

We operate out of 1 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

In 1896 the Rolfe city council set ordances for the Fire Dept. And purchassed 500'hose ($125)and a hose cart ($266). For the first 18yrs not a city block or residence was dest- royed by fire. In 1975 the Rual Fire Assc. joined with the city council, And changed the name to Rolfe Comm. Fire Dept.

In May 2002 the members of the Rolfe Community Fire Dept. voted to start a Junior Firefighter program so that younger people could train to be firefighters.
