Kalaoa Volunteer Fire Comany 7 Bravo proudly protects approximately 40,000 people in a 100 square mile area. Our company is made up of volunteers from within our district who are on call 24/7/365. Our company commits to over 150 hours conducting training exercises, as well as thousands of man-hours working at emergency scenes each year, making our company one of the most often called upon volunteer units on the Big Island. Our firefighters are fully trained in wildland, structural and vehicle firefighting operations. Our company has also worked and/or trained with the Hawaii County Fire Department (career), Hawaii State Airport Fire Department, Hawaii County Police Department, Hawaii County Civil Defense, US Forestry Department, US Army Fire Corps, US Coast Guard Auxilliary, American Red Cross, Big Island Search & Rescue as well as donating time and manpower to numerous community projects.
