Horry County Station Twenty is located on Scipio Lane off of Holmestown Rd on the south end of the Myrtle Beach/Grand Strand area. We are combination Volunteer/Paid station currently housing two engines, a 104ft tower ladder, one brush truck, and one ALS ambulance. Our ambulance is manned by paid personnel, however our engine and squad are staffed 24 hours per day by dedicated professional volunteers. We service a various demographic ranging from mobile home communities and rural areas, to densely populated housing developments and high end realestate and commercial properties. Our personnel respond to up to as many as 1,700 calls per year ranging from EMS first responder, to haz-mat and marine rescue emergencies. Through motovation and commitment to training, our station has gained the reputation as "The Education Station." Nearly 90% of our firefighters are trained as engineers, five are NREMTs, and one is a NREMT-I.
