TEAYS VALLEY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT proudly protects approximately 25,000 people living in an area of 35 square miles. We operate out of two stations that protect a primarily residential area with a fast growing business district and 11 miles of interstate. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.
The Teays Valley Fire Department is a volunteer organization that is composed of 28 men and 4 women. Teays Valley Volunteer Fire Department is 1 of 8 fire departments in Putnam County, which is the fastest growing county in West Virginia. Our department offers fire/rescue services, as well as assisting Putnam County EMS with our EMT's and Paramedics. The Teays Valley Volunteer Fire Department is funded by a county-wide fire service fee, which is administered by the Putnam County Fire Service Board.
