North Myrtle Beach Fire & Rescue proudly protects 15000 people living in an area of 15 square miles. We operate out of 5 stations that protect a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a paid status.
The North Myrtle Beach Fire & Rescue is a small department that serves a residential community which is also a busy tourist attraction. With over 9 miles of white sand beaches hundreds of thousands of people visit our town every year. All personnel are cross trained in fire and law enforcement. On busier weekends such as Memorial Weekend all off duty fire personnel work as police officers. Police officers respond with fire companies to all related fire calls.
