Scott Vol Fire Dept

The Scott Volunteer fire department is located in Pulaski and Lonoke County, with a estimated population of 3,000 people. Our coverage area is 60 square miles, with mutual aid and automatic aid agreements we cover another 60 to 70 square miles totaling 130 square mile.
We provide fire protection for 10 churches, a three story historic plantation landmark mansion, an agricultural museum that has millions of dollars of historic collections stored, a multi-million dollar reproduction Cotton Gin museum building, a very large museum for Indian heritage with millions of dollars of historic collections, a major lock and dam on the Arkansas river, several large farming operations that produce more than 50,000 acres of farm products, a halfway house for Mothers with Children, and several foster homes that houses approximately 30 to 40 children ranging in age from infants to teenagers, and several large two story mansions. We also respond to a major highway 165 that runs through the community of Scott that is a main highway for hazardous materials transportation through Arkansas.
We provide fire protection for a farm chemical warehouse in our district that stores thousands of gallons of farm chemicals. Also in our area we have two schools we protect with around 500 plus students. We also are automatic aid  to areas that are heavily populated with several thousand residents that are beyond North Little Rock response area. There are three large churches, millions of dollars of industry, freight companies, major food supply distribution warehouses and new mini malls.
