City of Sugar Land Fire Department

The Sugar Land Fire Department provides emergency-response and prevention programs in the community from five fire stations with a staff of more than 86 full-time employees. Three engines, two ladder trucks, a squad and auxiliary apparatus are ready to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day. In addition to emergency response, the department focuses on prevention activities designed to teach life-safety skills, which have contributed to Sugar Land's extremely low fire rate.
