Carpentersville Fire Department

Carpentersville Fire Department proudly protects 39000 people living in an area of 12 square miles within the Village of Carpentersville and the City of Algonquin, which lies in our fire district coverage area. We operate out of 3 stations that protect a primarily residential area with a rapid growing amount of commercial property along the Randall Road corridor. Our department is a municipal department whose members are on a combination of paid and part time status. We are situated in the rapidly growing Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are located 2 miles north of the City of Elgin, Illinois and the I-90 Rockford Tollway and 1 mile South of Algonquin and Lake in the Hills, Illinois. We are a rapidly growing community as we continue to expand out west. We currently employ a Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, 3 Shift Battalion Chiefs, 1 Trainning Officer 9 Shift Lieutenants, 7 24/48 Firefighter/Paramedics per shift, and 5 Day Shift Firefighter/Paramedics, and 45 Part time members. We are an exciting, professional, and proactive fire department.
