The Serena Fire Protection District proudly protects approx. 7000 people living in an area of 140 square miles. We operate out of 4 stations that protect a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 9. The Serena Fire Protection District is a completely volunteer organization. We are proud of the level of service that we provide and the equipment and level of training that we maintain. The district has no water supply and all water used is carried by tanker shuttle. The department and its personnel have been instrumental in the development of modern tanker design and operations.
