Forest Volunteer Fire Department

We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area. Our department is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status.

Forest Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1942 because of fears of WW II bombs starting massive Forest fires in the growing, yet rural area of Pike County, Pennsylvania. We are 1 of 4 fire departments serving Lackawaxen Township. We provide fire protection, vehicle extrication and disentaglement.
